Some of Our Favorite Fort Bragg Businesses and organizations
Here in "The Other" Fort Bragg, things are a bit quieter than the military town of Fort Bragg in North Carolina. We get mistaken for them quite a bit. It's not uncommon for a tourist to ask where the military base is. "We don't have one". In fact, things are quite the opposite here. We have the Pacific Ocean in our back yard, with whale watching excursions. There are a total of six traffic signal lights and a large portion of the community is living life based on sound environmental principals. Art and community abound here. This used to be a logging town but, things change. We are looking at ways to convert the old 425 acre mill site into something useful for the community. We do have a bit of a tourist industry here but not anything drastic. We aren't on the way to anywhere so we are kind of on the fringe. Kind of like being in a different country.
These are a few of our favorite SUSTAINABLE businesses and organizations in the community. The list will grow as we get their permission to add them.
